Has anyone else noticed with their vehicle that sometimes (maybe after driving on a highway for a bit) when you pull up to a traffic light and the truck shifts down into 1st it feels like a hard shift and shoves you forward a bit?

It happens to me multiple times a day and it's not out of control but you can definitely feel it.

I get it sometimes. Usually it's 3rd to 1st.

I noticed it on mine for about the first month occasionally. It seems to have went away though.

Mine does it every so often. I doubt I can replicate it with a tech so who knows.

My 2016 does it as well. Not often, but it does do it once in a while.

4th gen experience here - there are multiple threads on this one with multiple outcomes. For my 2017 5.7 Hemi with the 8 speed it was part of the "learning" by the transmission. For the first few thousand miles my truck did this as well, but it finally learned and stopped doing it. Hopefully that is the same for the 5th gen as well

No issues here... my Charger gets a little jerky pulling out of the neighborhood when it sits for a few days. Dunno why, but only does it when sitting for a while.

This was my experience on my 2019. I haven't felt it for about a month.

My 6 speed power wagon does this every 2-1 shift, it slams hard. been in a few times and they say its normal. Thats fine, I have the lifetime warranty so good luck to them!

My 2014 did it quite a bit when it was new....The 19 is doing just like the 14 did when it was new. After about 5000 to 10000 miles it just about stops doing it unless you catch it just right,by that I mean when coming to a stop. The 8 speed unlike the 5 speed actually jumps from 3rd to first in a heart beat causing the thump most times.....Seems like its when you stop very fast but not a brake locker in any way and when your going down a slight incline coming to a fast stop. Seems normal since I put up with it getting used to it for the Years I had the 14.
The 19 really freaks me out with the start stop E-Torque too when you catch it just right (523 miles ) down and incline and the abrupt down shift then motor shuts off with a slight bump to go with it! Its going to take some getting used to for sure!

I have a 2019 for about two weeks now ( 400 miles on it) I notice it more when im slowly decelerating on a slight to moderate incline. Not all the time though. It seems to catch me off guard.

My 2018 2500 66RFE did that when new. Once it got thru the learning break in, about 1500 miles, it has shifted perfect.
