Just an update on my 2001 5.9l 4x4. I had the shifting issues from 2nd to 3rd where i had to lift off the gas, and I got some slippage in 4th gear if I give it gas. I also had, and still have sometimes, grinding when shifting into overdrive. I decided to out a solenoid kit in it and adjust fhe bands, hoping that would solve my issues! It did not. Still wouldnt shift sonetimes. It was better than before but still not good. I was very frustrated since its a little bit of a pain to do the job and I want me truck to run well. I made a post on here asking for help but I didnt get any response. Lo g story made short, I picked up a good ol' can of Seafoam TransTune. Its been shifting well ever since. If you have problems with your tranny, consider putting some Seafoam in it first before dropping the pan. Seafoam TransTune is different than the regular stuff. Its generally with the non slip additives and not with the rest of the seafoam products. Good luck guys!
