Third, worth every penny and stupid FL drivers who high beam me. They really hate when I high beam them back.

On the forum for my Charger, one of the members is a lighting engineer. A few years back, they tested a bunch of different lights. Silverstars are WHITER, not BRIGHTER. Whiter light appears brighter but you lose a lot of effective range, unless those whiter lights are over-driven (HIR or HID lamps). I was forced to run SilverStar Ultras in my Charger as when the factory lamps died, the only thing any store around me stocked was SS Ultras. And I can tell you, I lost effective distance in light output. They seem brighter, but they don't light signs up 1/2 a mile away like the factory lamps did...

You're in luck because you could have a your Quad's retro fitted with Morimoto Mini H1 HID Projectors for $550.

Those with 13+ Projector Lamps can add a drop-in HID kit for $150
Or have Morimoto 3" FX-R's retro fitted for $640.

I can't decide if i just want projectors from JJ @ Retroshop or save up a bit longer to get the FX-R's from JJ. How much better are the FX-R's honestly

13+ Projectors come with ****** halogen bulbs blah!

So I upgraded my first set with the drop-in HID kit for another $155
it was much better than stock halogens , but still not enough for me. Once I had a taste of HID I craved more.
(just like I had to supercharge my Hemi)

The FX-R upgrade is more money than the drop in kit
...for some its Well worth the extra charge.

Since I custom ordered painted/tinted heads they had to be cracked open any way,
So it only made sense to have them retro fitted with the BEST projector available while they were out for paint.

The difference from my first set to the Top Dog FX-R's set was about $300

To me it's like being asked if you want a 3.6L V6 or the 5.7L Hemi Option for $1200 more.


Stock Halogen Bulb = V6 performance
HID drop in Kit = Hemi performance
FX-R = Hemi with a Supercharger

Tracking says they're at the border right now awaiting customs clearance into Canada
...so could be here Friday, but not likely until next week.
