I have personally dealt with Ford's CS when the 10-spd in our Expedition grenaded. I don't want to burst your bubble but..... they're exactly the same. :) I think that's just how it is across all platforms now.
Oh god LOL hopefully i never have to use it. The closest ford dealer to me is a bunch of deuches on every level. I even bought this truck four hours away because of how bad these clowns in the NY area play there pinky ring wearing games

I drove a Ford diesel f-350 for 20 years. Best vehicle I have ever had. But it was under powered 7.3. I could not find any Fords in 2022. So I switched over to Ram 6.7.

The 7.3 PSD (Navistar T444E), while no power monster, was about as reliable an engine as has ever been made. The only ones we ever got in the shop were typically north of 300k miles needing a new crank position sensor. $60 and 30 minutes and it was back on the road.

Navistar ruined their reputation with the VT365 (6.0 PSD) and the Maxxforce 7 (6.4 PSD).

That said, I personally wouldn't touch any Ford with a 10-spd in it. The 6.7 PSDs are finally good, reliable engines so leave it to Ford to hose things up again by slapping in an under-designed and untested transmission. :Big Laugh:

I don't remember exactly what mileage I had on mine when I sold it, but it was north of 250k. Never an issue. The transmissions were the weak spot in the early Super Duties and if you added power you might as well do the trans as well. Something-or-other Woods was a big rebuilder who beefed them up back then, forget the details at this point, but they bullet proofed them nicely.

Dad bought a 95 crew cab dually with about 210k on it out in Texas and drove it home to South Alabama. Never turned a wrench on it. We knew it was tuned when he got it, but it would bark the tires going through the gears. He took it to the shop and figured out that it had a built trans in it. He towed his fifth wheel for years until he sold it just shy of 400k miles. That was a fantastic truck. Wish I could've bought it from him. That thing was SHARP.
