A Black Bottle cap fit real nice over the sensor :) A little double sided tape in the cap holds it in place ! In the old days we turned our light on manually but I got spoiled with the newer cars with auto on :O

You've done this and it works OK? By coincidence, I was thinking this same thing over the weekend and wondered how well this might work, and if the small bubble on the dash was the correct sensor.

I never use my auto setting. I'm so old school that I just run with my headlights on regardless of the time of day because here in South Florida the 'Idiot Density Index' in traffic is through the roof and I want to be as visible as possible.

Same here, I just manually flip the switch to ON. Been doing it so long I don't even think about it anymore, it's just part of my startup routine.

I might look into the black bottle cap cover, sounds like a good workaround.

How my '17 works. Hell, I could drive down a street with a lot of shade and my headlights will switch on. To me they are too sensitive.

A Black Cap fits over the bubble pretty good. Put some double sided tape or Fun Tack and it will stick to the bubble !
