Hey all, I have a 11 1500 SLT. I was curious because I'm sure there's a way to do this but I did not see anything in my web search. I was wondering if there was a way to take my stock headlights and install a projector headlight in it. Is there a way to do this?

Yup. JJ at Retroshop.us is a site sponsor. He can do them for you or get you the parts to do it yourself if your brave enough.

I really wanted to do it myself. I'm big on tinkering with stuff and I have an extra set of headlights lying around and I was going to give it a shot. What's the best way to take the headlight apart? Put it in the oven?

I just started trying to take mine apart today. Trying being the word of the day.... Started with 18 min at 250 and start prying. Must have put them back in at least a half dozen times so far for another 10 minutes a time and still not open. Getting there, but still a ways too go. I took the back cover off and removed the bulbs before baking. Watch out for that bottom mounting tab. I already cracked mine while moving the light around and prying. Hopefully a little JB weld will fix it up after I'm done.
