So, I have a 2013 Ram 1500, and it has a PDC, which looks just like a TIPM… I have a problem where the right headlight high and low beam go out, but the bulbs are fine. I figured it was the TIPM, or PDM, so I got one that was a New/Other, and installed it. Initially, the headlights didn’t work, but later that day they did. My original box, I pulled and cleaned all the pins, initially, then used dielectric grease, and it actually worked for a few days, and then went out again… So that’s why I bought another box…
The new one worked for over a week, and now it it the same as the original box, and my high and low beam warning came back. Side note, with the original PDC, AlphaOBD was able to turn on the lights initially but now it doesn’t turn on the right side bulbs. I read somewhere that it could be a grounding problem, but the bulb sockets were clean, no corrosion evident.
Also, my fog lights have never worked with the dash switch, but AlphaOBD will turn them on and off…
I am at a loss as to how to fix the right headlights, and have the fog lights work, with the switch.
Could it be the BCM?
Also, when the bulb out warning came on, I honked my horn, and the lights started working again, but a few days later they stopped working again, and the horn didn’t start them working again, lol…
Thanks, Charlie
Edit: last night, the headlights started working again… and today, both rt. Side lights are not working again. It really has me mystified…
