So, I have a 2013 Ram 1500, and it has a PDC, which looks just like a TIPM… I have a problem where the right headlight high and low beam go out, but the bulbs are fine. I figured it was the TIPM, or PDM, so I got one that was a New/Other, and installed it. Initially, the headlights didn’t work, but later that day they did. My original box, I pulled and cleaned all the pins, initially, then used dielectric grease, and it actually worked for a few days, and then went out again… So that’s why I bought another box…
The new one worked for over a week, and now it it the same as the original box, and my high and low beam warning came back. Side note, with the original PDC, AlphaOBD was able to turn on the lights initially but now it doesn’t turn on the right side bulbs. I read somewhere that it could be a grounding problem, but the bulb sockets were clean, no corrosion evident.
Also, my fog lights have never worked with the dash switch, but AlphaOBD will turn them on and off…
I am at a loss as to how to fix the right headlights, and have the fog lights work, with the switch.
Could it be the BCM?
Also, when the bulb out warning came on, I honked my horn, and the lights started working again, but a few days later they stopped working again, and the horn didn’t start them working again, lol…
Thanks, Charlie
Edit: last night, the headlights started working again… and today, both rt. Side lights are not working again. It really has me mystified…

Could it be the BCM?

The BCM controlls the headlights, and the foglights too. So, yes.

But don't make any assumptions or buy any more parts until you do some testing. Having a few hundred dollars each into a pile of fuse boxes and BCMs is silly, if it's just a wire that got chewed in half my a squirrel somewhere.

What trim package is your truck? IE, Laramie, Sport, Outdoorsman, etc? Need to know if it has the "premium" lighting package, or standard? As in, OEM Projectors (premium) vs quads (base).

Because they each use a different wiring diagram.

So, i'll assume for the time being that it has factory projectors (premium).

Here is the zoomed in section that shows your headlight and fog light wiring. As you can see, the power distribution center plays very little role. It's pretty much all controlled by the BCM.

Unplug the BCM and check the connectors for damage, corrosion, broken wires, etc. If it's all good, then get a multimeter and a test light and start testing those wires. Many times, when there is a bad connection at a connector, or a damaged wire is shorted to ground, the resistance in the short will change when the connection is loaded with current.

It is a Bighorn, with the base quad high/low beam, H11 and 9001 bulbs. So, it could be a wiring problem, but the fog lights are able to be independently turned on and off by AlphaOBD. Initially, the right high/low beams were able to be turned on/off also, but then that failed to work with AlphaOBD. I will see what I can determine with the wiring/connectors for the BCM. Will have to find that lil sucker, now. I do know where the ECM is, as I had to pull that and send it overnight to Holley as their SuperChips tuner bricked it. They sent it back, and it has been working great ever since.
Side note:
My New/Other fuse box was missing F31 and F33, which are transmission fuses for the diesel and 8 speed trannys, I believe, and I have the 6 speed. My original box had both these fuses, and since I am not the original owner, it could have been replaced before, not sure whether it is stock. Both boxes have the same number, with a different letter at the end, and was told they will interchange.
The transmission shifts just fine, so I assumed these fuses weren’t necessary. Thanks for the wiring diagrams, really appreciate it

my drivers ide does this from time to time, I remove the head light houseing and unplug everyhing, reconnect and it starts working again, so for me it is a connection thing

The BCM is in the driver side kickwell on the firewall, up near the emergency brake pedal.

It has a big cam lever that releases the connectors. I've accidentally unplugged mine before while driving, when a boot lace snagged the cam lever.
