If you do sand the lenses make sure you spray them with a clear coat (with UV protectant) after. If you don't they will haze up over time. I had an Infiniti G35 (Horrible UV protectant from the factory) that I had to buff out frequently. I finally got tired of doing that every few months so I sanded mine lenses and then cleared them. Solved the problem until I sold the car.

Another helpfull hint for buffing out hazed over headlight lenses, Use toothpaste. Steal your parents, roomate's, wifes, neighbors, or friends tube of crest, rub it onto the lense let it dry a bit, then buff it out. Free headlight restoration.

Alright. I've heard of that. But I thought, my headlights are gonna be sticky and smell minty fresh. I don't think it'll work. But it did?

So tooth paste is tooth paste, I can use any kind? And would I have to put a clear coat on to seal it?

any tooth paste is fine.

You don't have to do a clear coat......but if you do - have a pro do it. Its not really something that can just be slapped on.

No, I can't find my buffer, it was lost in the move. I'm gonna buy a new one from autozone.

The buffer aint gonna work. Buy the kit I recommended and youll be set. Or buy the buffer from AutoZone, and kick yourself in the ass when it doesnt work. And does a mediocre on buffing the paint.

The best buffer out is actually a DA, and its the Porter Cable 7424.
