So January has been a pretty good month for my truck 4" superlift, new rims (Fuel mavericks) LED rock lights yesterday, and today wrapped up my painted headlight project!

How did you seal them back?

I reheated the headlight to warm up the existing glue and then put it all back together then once cooled I used automotive RTV/silicon sealer and ran a bead all the way around

So all you did here was open them up and paint? What would be worse case scenario of this diy project?

Or is there a write up on this that you may still have the link to?

Surprised he didn't throw some projectors on while he was in there.

Yes sir all I did was open and paint, I e very happy with the way they turned out and they still put out plenty of light for me. Worst case Ontario would be not sealing them up properly and having condensation in them. After the last couple of days of downpour in Raincouver and they're still holding up!

I just kind of went for it, it wasn't too bad. I cooked em @ 250 for 10 mins start in the corners and gently pry. You gotta stick a flat head screw driver and get it under the lens to break the seal and work your way around. I ended up sticking each headlight in the oven 3 times, for the second and third I went about 8 mins. Then remove bezel, paint and reheat at same temp for 10 mins, then put the bezel/ lens( make sure to put the bezel in the lens before trying to put it back in the headlight housing) if you put bezel in first you won't be able to get the lens on. Then I clamped it for about 20 mins to let the glue set and then ran a bead of RTV/silicone sealant all the way around. If you take your time you'll be fine
