Been riding my 24 Laramie for a year and never tried it.

Are a lot of drivers using the feature and what's it's main benefit?

I have it on my vette and 24 caddy,I think their intentions were to eliminate the need to look at the instruments

I have no idea if a lot of drivers are using it. I'm not even sure how anyone would know that unless there has been some kind of survey or study done. But I can say that the main benefit is that you can see things like your speed without taking your eyes off the road versus looking down at your gauge cluster or infotainment system. My only issue with it is how well my polarized sunglasses block it LOL. Because of that I don't really notice it unless I'm driving after sundown.

I do use mine as it also shows the posted speed limit (most of the time) I do like it.

Dad has it on his Corvette, and I find it incredibly distracting. It's not like I need to hyper focus on the speedo or other gauges like my life depends on it - takes a fraction of a second to quickly glance down to see my speed, and that's only if I don't have cruise set..which it is 99.999% of freeway time. Another fraction to scan the other gauges to see if anything is abnormal once every few minutes.

I couldn't give rat's behind if my temp is 220* vs 223*. I just need to know if it's outside a normal range. I don't need to get exact fuel level every 5 seconds.

I get why a fighter pilot may want to know the status of a dozen systems RIGHT NOW, but it just seems like a solution in search of a problem in a car.

I tend to overlook mine during daylight but at night it’s kind of hard to overlook and I tend to pay pretty close attention to it for speed, speed limit, etc.
