The steering wheel heater stopped working recently. I've read some posts about causes but found nothing solid. Is there a way to troubleshoot this without just throwing parts at it? The driver seat heater works, passenger seat heater does not. I'm leaning towards clock spring because occasionally the cruise buttons on steering wheel don't work until I press them about 5 times. Looks like the module is the cheapest first step if I'm throwing parts. Thanks for the advice.

Find the wiring diagram and start checking power and grounds going to it. If you suspect the clock spring should be able to see if you have power on both sides of it. Is the indicator light on the center console coming on when you turn the steering wheel heat on?

I know when I turn mine on I can hear a relay click, does yours make any noise when you try to turn it on?

Can't advise for the heated part but the cruise control is a known issue with the steering wheel switch. That fix is either take the steering wheel covers off. Then disconnect & reconnect the cruise switch connector, if that doesn't work replace the switch.

I appreciate the responses. The center console heated steering wheel lights turn on for a second or two then off, same as passenger heated seats. There is no relay clicking either. I can hear the relay when activating driver seat which is working so that makes sense. I haven't looked at heating module under seat but can I not just switch the harness for the steering wheel and plug it into the output of drivers heated seat which I know works? That would determine if the module was bad. I'll track down a wiring diagram as well. Thanks again for the help.
