Hello everyone,

I recently traded in my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee for a 2015 5.7L 1500 BigHorn. I lost some luxury details going to the truck, but I plan on rectifying that (keyless entry/start is the big one). Part of the deal for the truck was that the dealer would install the 8.4 NAV and remote start (my sales guy said they are contracting it out, and I've become worried they aren't using OEM parts for the ordeal, but I'll deal with that when I get the truck back)

So far, I've got the front windows and brow tinted with HP18, put in weatherTech floor liners, and am waiting on an AntennaX 5" Stubby antenna. I've already queued up about 5 mods/upgrades just looking around the forum and interwebs.

Arth, I'm dropping it off at the dealer monday. It sounds like they will outsource the work to another shop, so I have my reservations. I'll post up when I get it back.

Yeah good luck. Will defiantly be waiting to hear from you on the results later this week. If you need any helps with other mods while I am here I'll be glad to help. Been modding these 4th Gen's since 2011.

Lol, will do. I think I have the next like 5k spoken for.

Got my truck back today. Not exactly sure how I feel about the install. They did a great job, I was just expecting the RA4 8.4" oem nav radio. They installed a Kenwood DNX574S 6.2".

Seems like a great headunit. The sound is already better, its interfaced (I believe obdii plug) with the truck and can show tire pressure and climate control, etc. It does let me view the camera while driving (neat feature), has a second camera input (I will buy the front facing camera). The shop said they also enabled video viewing while driving.

I'm probably most unhappy with the aftermarket remote start. I was planning on doing the passive entry, and this will complicate things. So I may RIP it out and install an oem at the same time.

Where did you buy it from Hill Kelly dodge or Milton dodge? I’m not surprised they went aftermarket with the heatunit it’s quite cheaper then the oem 8.4.

Good luck getting a push button start without costing an arm or a leg. The head unit looks good. Time will tell if it is what you were after.

Sandy Sansing in Milton. Their service at the dealer was far better than Hill Kelly (tried to run my credit before I a) drove the truck, b) got my jeep appraised). And the sales guy became super rude when I told him I wasn't giving him my info to run my credit.

The kits are about $1600. The install looks straight forward as long as the instructions are clear. The hardest sensor to place will be in the center console. The pictures I've seen show the bench seat models installed, but I have bucket seats, so that will be interesting to place.
