My name is Jim
I have a 2008 1500 Quad cab SXT 4X4 4.7L V8 with E85. In my screen name is my date of purchase. I came from a 2001 ford ranger 3L V6 SLT 4X4 off road tension bars. First time test driving a truck of this quality made me say I want it. It wasn't my target truck. That was a silverado. The RAM is far better. I was surprised to see a 4.7L engine under the hood after the test drive. I didn't want the cost of maintanence on a bigger engine. More oil more everything. So I'm pleased to have the small engine. I need to find out more about the SXT. It isn't on firestones web choices of models for tires. So since I plan on keeping this nice truck for a good long time. Main project is rust proofing the entire underside and the wheel wells. Already getting rusted but good. I need tinted windows. All i get is the semitrucks head lights hitting me.
Much like the forum I was in for my last baby truck. I look forward to meeting new people and learning all about my RAM.
Looks like a wealth of knowleadge is already here. Can't wait to start reading that.
