looking for everyones opinion on a new sub box. ive narrowed it down to 3 options. ill include the prices with shipping to me in Alaska.

Netaudio-$647.98
Foxbox-$379.56
custom box built by local car audio shop- starts at $500

shipping is the same for either box so im just trying to decide which option is better. my Atrend pre fab sounds like crap so I want a good box this time. never ran a ported box in these rams so im not sure if its better then sealed. my subs are 10" kicker comp RT and both box's are within specs for the air space needed.

anyone with a netaudio box or a fox box want to share your opinions and pics?

Custom, and ported.
ported will be louder, sealed more accurate. Ported can have less power, sealed you'd be able to add more power.
We did three RT 12's under the seat of a 2012 Silverado, thing hammers and sounds good.
Did two 12's under a 2007 1/2 Silverado too, sounds great..

I want the subs to be as loud as possible with a deep hard hitting base. ive always known that to be a sealed box, you think ported would be better for me then? would the fox box be ok or is it really worth the money to have one custom built?

Custom built will always be better than prefab because you build the box to the spec of the subs. Personally I'd run ported specially if you're wanting to meter rarely do you see sealed at comps these days

Also It would be way cheaper to build the box yourself or find a box builder near you shops overcharge a crap ton

im not looking at doing any comps, just want the best sound I can get back there. and I don't have any of the wood working tools and ive never done fiberglass so id rather just pay to have a box built. $500 isn't too bad to me.

Both would work, but to me, do ported, tune upper 30's.
Be plenty for daily!

imo go with the netaudio sealed box. I just sold mine a few days ago and man thats the best custom box i ever bought. You should look into the jl audio w3s or w6 line of subs, they simply sound incredible.

I know I saw yours and got excited and messaged you a few days too late lol. I think im gonna have one built locally just like the netaudio box. found a shop local to do it for $450. saves me the $180 on shipping a box to Alaska.

My box isnt 100% awesome, but HIFI sound it was 150... it works, for my kickers they need 1 CU.ft but they box is only .61, so i added a bunch of Polyfil and sounds amazing

I just had the shop do the JL Audio stealth box with the 10s and the recommended JL 600 mono amp. Sounds good, but definitely room for more bass. At first, since I haven't had a system for awhile, it seemed loud and hit good. But after a week, I wish my **** hit harder. But I'm a show off, it's good enough for now.

Just got a fox box a few weeks ago. It's supposed to have 1.55' of air space per side. I'd say if it doesn't it's close. I added polyfil to the box and hopefully it'll make up for the other .2' of air space required for my kicker comp r 12" subs. I've only got 600 watts split between the two. So 300 each or at least supposed to be. It's really hard to determine exactly what your subs are getting without a bunch of meter testing with expensive equipment.

Anyway. I had a attend prefab and while it sounded alright it wasn't what the subs can do. I looked at the net audio and possibly building one myself. For $260 shipped I went with the fox box as it would cost almost as much in materials to build a custom box myself. I still may do it later and would be blue to get more air space. I don't have a split rear seat so I could gain air space there for sure.

It sounds great for right now. It hits really hard. Enough to bounce 20 ou pop bottles in my cup holders and rattle everything else. I wouldn't hesitate to get one again. Especially if I didn't want to build one myself. Again I may tackle it on my own but at least I've got good sound until I get it built if I do.
