Details of the truck I want are:

2013 4x4 Hemi Crew Cab Sport in white
8 speed
Remote start & Security
Convenience Group
Sport Premium Group
Leather Seats
4-corner air
Anti-Spin rear diff
32 gallon tank
ParkSense Rear park assist
Rear view camera
Wheel to wheel side steps--still thinking about this option

MSRP PRICING: $48,715
Sales Price: $44,606
Manufacturer Rebates: ($1,750)

Do you guys think I’ll be able to get a better deal than the carsdirect.com price?
Any idea of what the incentives/dealer case is right now besides the ones listed on carsdirect.com??

Yes, you can do better. You can EASILY find an online dealer to quote a price of INVOICE minus HOLDBACK (~$1,350) NOT including the current incentives/rebates. For example my Laramie that I negotiated prior to ordering was $50,760 MSRP with Invoice of $46,760 then subtract holdback ($1,493). NOW subtract the current incentives of $2,750 plus current additional SouthEast Bonus Cash of $500 plus another $1,000 USAA Member Incentive coupon. Take the offer from the larger dealer that prices aggressively and take to your local dealer and ask them to match it. Many will and some will not. Then you decide if it is close enough to justify spending a little extra for a local relationship. Of course you have to be a USAA member to get the incentive coupon but I used that as an example. You can also join FFA and get $500 rebate if you can show you have been a member 30 days prior to purchase. Rebates were updated today (first Tuesday of every month) and can be confirmed at Ram Incentive hotline at 800-227-0757.

That's not bad! I have the same truck on order but with the RamBox system 3.92 LSD and everything but Nav and the sport hood and am leasing it at just shy of 41,000. We get a special deal because we lease a crap ton of vehicles though.

Oh and mine started at 51,000 MSRP

My local dealer said today March incentives are $2500 + $1000 bonus if you have a trade-in. Typically a "good deal" is around $8k-$10k under MSRP. Enjoy your '13. I'm ordering a '13 CC Sport in the near future as well.

Oh and uh... hey RF. I guess i'm back? Been lurking for weeks now (daily), just not posting much. Too busy with work to keep up with the conversations. Nice to see a crap ton of newbies (at least to me) here.

I bought a 2010 4x4 Hemi and got 10 grand off MSRP, the key was waiting til the end of year and buy old stock. My 34k msrp Ram was sitting in my driveway for 24. Most of those places carsdirect or Costco are really for people that have zero negotiating skills, the average man can do better. Dealers invoice is padded and usually around 5 or 10% below MSRP. Larger dealers can even sell less then dealers invoice from time to time, but generally they don't want to do it. They do so because larger dealers can order 100 or 50 trucks at a time and the manufacturer will give them extra incentives for taking so many trucks. A fair deal is 50 to 150 over dealers invoice, and you can ask to see it too. You get that price plus all the rebates. If you want to do better then that, then wait for ad cars, but with those you usually don't get exactly what you want.

Getting invoice or $100 over invoice plus getting all available rebates is pretty easy. You can get invoice amount from edmunds.com. If you walk in ready to commit and give a deposit most dealers will give you that kind of deal. If the salesman balks, ask for the manager, be polite and tell him you are there to buy.

Do you have access to the friends and family/ supplier discount or do you work for any a police or fire department even as a Volunteer? If not, it sounds fair might be able to do a little better as others have said above.

Okay these discounts sound great, I'm not in a hurry so I'm willing to wait for the 8speeds to be commonplace on the dealer lots

Just remember, if you order, your price can and should be negotiated BEFORE you place your order. I checked in with the #1 Chrysler/Ram dealer in Tennessee. They price their trucks extremely aggressively and I used them to start my negotiations here locally and it worked. If my local dealer hadn't been willing to match or come close to their price I would have driven 4 hours to get it from the one in TN because they had been very helpful and knowledgable. I got a much better deal on my soon to be Ram than I did on my wife's Subaru Outback. I guess I had honed my negotiating skills with my wife's car.

Also, if your willing to drive a little look for rams in neighboring states. I knew what I wanted and just started googling dealers. Found my truck in Chicago (I'm in STL). Sticker was $45k. They had it advertised on their site for $37556. I called them to confirm and they said it was right.

Took the quote to local dealers and no one could even come close, so I road tripped to Chicago. In the end I got another $1k off for the auto show and ended up taking the truck for just under $38k out the door. I was stoked.

On top of that, I saved 3% on sales tax since MO only charges state tax for vehicles purchased out of state and no local tax.

Bought it at Crystal Lakes Dodge if that helps you at all.

Do anything new to your truck since you were last on here regularly?

I dont really remember what I've done since I took my absense over a year ago. I've done some de-modding though. I'll have some parts up for sale soon. Ordering a '13.

You still running the krc210?
