well getting ready to buy some tires and having a hard time picking them out ! I’m getting Moto Metal 962 wheels in 20x10 so looking at 35x12.50x20 tires prefer and all terrain style that also is decent in snow and winter here in Michigan . My first thoughts are Toyo open country at2 and Nitto ridge grapplers ? What does everybody think ? Recommend? Thanks in advance !

I went with cooper st maxx in the same size to save a little money over the nito and toyo. They have been really good on snow and ice and the little off road they have seen they are very quiet on road and aligned and balanced well. Only have about 3 to 4 k on them so can't speak to the longevity yet. Not much negative I could find on either the nitto or toyo except price. I put about 6k a year on the truck so seeing 50k on a set of tires wasn't the deciding factor on my purchase.

I would think the at2 would perform better than the ridge grappler in our snowy roads. Much more siping. I havnt had either though. The nitto terra grappler would be better in the snowy roads I would think. I have those on my wifes yukon and they have been great.

Have the Ridge Grapplers on mine. 295/65/20. Haven't had real deep snow but they have handled Indiana's 3 to 4 inch snows on the highway with ease. Very quiet tire too.

I absolutely love my Toyo at2 tires. I live and plow snow in west Michigan so we see plenty of snow.

Don't think you can go wrong with either of those tires. I just put on a set of Ridge grapplers to replace my Exo grapplers. So far so good but not many miles on them yet.

What offset are you getting on those wheels and do you have a lift/level on the truck?

.

The truck is 2018 ram 2500 with 6.4 hemi I have the 3in therun front springs and 1 in rear spacers the offset that comes on the 20x10 is -24 I hope these don’t rub and don’t stick out to far I like a little but not a crap load ! I was thinking of the 20x9 with 0 offset as well lol I’m so undecided !

10" wide and -24 offset is definitely going to give you that "brodozer" look and possibly rub, but with 3" lift you might be ok? Stock offset is somewhere around +55 I think?

All personal choice of course but if you don't like them sticking waaaay out I would go more positive with the offset.

I'm running 295/65/20 toyo at2 on my stock Laramie wheels. Personally I like the look. They don't rub with the leveling kit. They look stocky but don't stick out. I don't like stuff thrown all down the sides of my truck. Again..personal preferences

Well I definitely don’t want them sticking out a lot an 1 or 2 I like but in the 20x10 -24 is all that’s offered so I might have to go with 20x9 and 0 offset

Take it from someone who had both. The Toyo will out last the Nitto by 3x. You won't be sorry.

With the 2500's you gotta watch those tires. I got 20K from Nitto.

What works on 1500s will NOT work good on these heavy trucks. I had the CTD.

I have ridge grapples on my power wagon. They are quite on the road and good off road. They are wearing too fast for me. I have 25k on them. Will be lucky to get 10k more. I'll try at2 s next.

I have nitto terra grappler, have 10k on them and they still have a ton of tread left. I have 275/60r20 on factory ram rims. They have good overall performance in snow, towing, and rain (if I don’t goose the throttle like mad max )

My 295s are a little under 12" wide on a 20x9 and either 0 or +1 offset. They stick out past my stock fender flares. I can't keep my truck clean. If I had it to do over again I would definitely go with the +19 or 20, especially if I was going with a 12.5" wide tire.

Toyo AT2 are fantastic in the snow. But so are the terra grapplers g2’s. But the nittos wont last as long.

The hybrid all terrain/mud tires like the ridge grappler or toyo R/T are great for dirt sand and light mud but honestly are not the best choice for snow. Not enough gripping edges.

If you can get the toyo AT2 in the “extreme” version you will love them even more.

Go Toyo.... dont look back.

I've got a good 7k on the Ridge Grapplers on my 2500 and they seem to be wearing very well. Unless something changes dramatically for some reason I don't expect to see significantly shorter life than I got on my 1500.

I have the same truck, same lift. I’m running 35x12.5 ridge grap. -12 offset and they stick out about 2-3”. Hope that helps!
