PLEASE, PLEASE, help me out guys. I need to know what do I need to do, to make 100% sure these 20” wheels & 275/65/20 tires fit on my 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab 2WD 8-foot cargo bed truck safely & with no issues. My car currently has the OEM 17 inch wheels & factory tire size. The tires I bought were Nitto Terra Grapplers 275/65/20 on a fourth generation chrome clad 20" Dodge Ram wheel. Do I have to forcibly install a front leveling kit for clearance or even without a leveling kit does the wheel & tire combo fit onto my truck with no problems? Some people are saying that my 2002 year Ram model with 2wd doesn’t need a leveling kit because the front end can be lifted/raised by adjusting some torsion keys? Is that true and even if it is, will that be enough to clear the wheel & tire combo safely? I try to check daystars website and no 2.5” leveling kit shows up, only a 1” economy thingy shows up.

Even if I don't use a leveling kit or lift the factory torsion keys? The tire & wheel combo will fit no problem?

Why did the guys at daystar tell me I will have figment issues? They must've misheard me when I toldem the tire & wheel size. I know that the 4 generation chrome clad Ram wheels came with a smaller tire (275/60r20 Goodyear wranglers) compared to my situation with the Nitto terra grapplers (275/65r20) that I have. Could going from 60 to 65 in height really jeopardize my situation? How do these pros (daystar) make such a mistake and everybody on the forums is telling me it will fit?

First... Take a deep breath.. They will fit.. Second you need to see if you have springs or torsion bars.. If you look behind the wheel and you see springs then that kit will work.. If you dont have springs then look farther under the truck and see if you have 2 long bars running halfway down the truck, if you have those then you can do 1 of 2 things, crank on the bolts that are on your torsion keys or get on ebay or a suspension mfr website and find 1-3" torsion keys. If you decide to get keys you will need the torsion key removal/install tool. Keep us posted..

being that your truck is 2wd you do NOT have torsion bars, so to raise the front you do need a leveling kit. Now 275/65/20 is almost a 34" tire. on a 2wd truck it will most likely fit but will be tight. to be safe i would get a kit, plus it will look better than having the huge factory rake
