I recently had my truck in due to an abnormal screeching noise I was hearing on and off and it turns out I need some new bearings in my MGU that will be covered under the 8/80 emissions warranty.

Unrelated to the bearings issue, it was found that my exhaust gaskets on each side are broken and leaking.

I know this is a common problem with these trucks. Does anyone have the part number(s) for the exhaust gaskets and hardware on each side? Is this something that should be covered under my Mopar MaxCare extended warranty? The dealership is saying it’s not covered.

Peep this inspection video of my truck from last week. Skip to 1:39 in this video.

The manifolds are fine, it’s just the gaskets on each side that are broken and leaking.

Two different RAM dealerships in my area are quoting me $2048 and $1162. Seems expensive and a little drastic in price difference for the same work.

Let me know your thoughts! TIA

EDIT: Looks like some of you may not be able to open the link. I added images in the comments for both left and right sides. Ignore the subtitles, both are broken

I had mine replaced/covered under the Certified pre-owned extended powertrain warranty.

Mopar sells a replacement kit, which includes new manifold, bolts and gasket.

It would be my guess that the manifolds are not fine

What causes exhaust gaskets to blow out ?
Lack of uniform pressure holding the manifold down on the gasket

And what causes that?
Broken exhaust bolts

And what causes that?
Warped exhaust manifolds

If I were a betting man I'd say that is the root cause of your issue, and I'll go as far as to say the shop with the higher quote has a new set of manifolds included in the quote and that's why it's so much higher

Did they both give you an itemized quote or just threw out a number ?

The bolts don’t just break for no reason. There’s been pressure/torque put on them from what is highly likely warped manifolds. If you’re staying stock, I’d pull them off and have them sanded/planed flat, then reinstall them.
