I just got a 2026 Laramie Hemi with 12 inch screen . This is driving me crazy. See the attachment. My nav map only shows on top part of the screen. My dealer had a heck of a time getting the bottom part to go away and i didn't see what she did. It was ok until i shut off truck then restarted the next day now it is back to what you see here. I can't figure out how to make bottom part of screen disappear again and i want to stay gone i don't need the short cu 32.jpgtoption to pop up. Any ideas guys?

I think it will go away if you tap the NAV button at the bottom which should give you a full navigation screen view. The squares in the HOME view are for adding preview screens (widgets) like your radio selection, HVAC (Comfort) settings etc. see my HOME screen below. I had to spend a day going through the manual on my 23 figuring out how all that needed to be set up and the steps involved and then I went out to the truck and worked my way through everything setting up my preferences. I hope they gave you a printed manual. I heard something about those going away in favor of an on-line version.

He, like you is going to have to go through all and set up all his preferences. My son who has a 25 told to download manual. I looked at it, what a PITA.
DID U get a separate manual for the U Conn features??? Or, is all the info just in the owners manual? Even on my 2019, I got 2 separate manuals. But I do
not know on the new trucks and the new U Conn 5.

The two dots to the right of the "Edit Page" indicate there's another screen. What happens when you swipe left? Also agree with trying the NAV menu to get a full screen NAV. What happens when you select the symbol in top left of each screen (the squares with arrows in upper right corner)?

My 2021 has an X in the upper right of the double pane to close one or the other. Do those symbols with the circle-slash close the pane?

READ THE OWNER'S MANUAL!
see attached

The symbols in the upper-right corner of the windows look like minimize options.
Have you tried tapping them?

This issue has caused me to swear and promise myself not to buy another RAM. I wish I still had my 2018 2500.

This is just standard customizable computer screen stuff that, if you are not familiar with, can be a bit overwhelming. If you work with Apple iPads or Microsoft Windows, you should be able to figure it out.

You have the "Home Screen" up and it is not configured yet. The Home Screen is designed to show "Widgets". Widgets are logical collections or groupings of applications and/or functions. To get started click on one of the boxes with a + sign to begin adding a widget to your Home Screen. Next select the applications shortcuts you want in that widget and where on the screen you want the widget to appear.

My Home Screen is shown in the first image below. At top is the "Car Play" widget showing Google Maps, Bottom Left is "Now Playing" widget showing what is playing on the radio, and Bottom Right is "Short Cuts" widget showing a collection of applications icons. I selected the apps that I want to show up in the Short Cuts widget, i.e., the ones I might use the most frequently.

20260309_163218014_iOS.jpg

The initial choice of widgets is shown in the second picture. I think this shows up if you click on one of the + signs on the screen you showed. You can select a pre-created widget, or create a new widget, name it, and then you can customize or modify what is in it.

20260309_163303797_iOS.jpg

At the bottom of the Home Screen are two dots. This means you can swipe to the Left and set up completely different set of widgets on a second version of the main Home Screen. Swipe to the Right to return to the first Home Screen.

My second set of widgets is shown in the third picture. You can see I have created three groups of functions or widgets.

So...Click on one of the plus signs and start playing with it. You cannot hurt anything. You can change and rearrange things at will. There may be a learning curve but will get the hang of it.

Remember there are dedicated buttons on the bottom for Media, Comfort, CarPlay, Vehicle Settings, a Listing of all Applications, and the built-in Navigation System. If you want to use WAZE, Google Maps, Apple Maps you need to use CarPlay.

The Home Screen comes basically blank. It is for you to customize what functions you would most often use of like to see on the center screen. If you do not want to configure the Home Screen, then select one of the other choices at the bottom like CarPlay or Media. But, when you get tired of hunting around for functions under Vehicle or Apps, then you may realize what the home screen is good for. It is really not that difficult.

Thanks everyone! danAR hit the nail on the head, once i was underway i hit nav button and got nav on the entire screen. Thanks Eric Troup. I did try the 2 dots on bottom but did not solve the problem while at a stop looking at nav screen. But now while at a stop ihit nav button and got full screen as well as when driving. Don't know why it is giving full screen now when did not before but at least problem solved for now

You cannot edit the Home Screen if you are driving. Must be in PARK.

The two dots do not do anything yet because you have not selected and configured any widgets to appear on the Home Screen. All you have are two unconfigured screens that look the same.

Hi, that "circle-slash" as you put it, is the edit button. It's a circle around a pencil with an eraser on it.

How did you get CarPlay to the Home Screen? My preselected widgets looks just like yours and there’s no option for CarPlay. I see you wrote create a new widget. Where is that option? I haven’t seen it on mine and I don’t see it on the picture you showed. What am I overlooking?

I think I'll use my phone, keep my old truck and if all else fails. I think I have a paper USA atlas.

Jeezy talk about to many distractions. No wonder auto insurance is so freaking high.

Well, I do not remember exactly. I just played around with the interface until I liked it.

Make sure CarPlay is working and connected before you edit the widgets. Bring up an app like google maps, apple maps or Spotify.

See the photo sequence attached.

1. Select "Edit Pages" at lower left.
IMG_3947.jpeg
2. Next select "Add Page" on the pop up menu
IMG_3949.jpeg
3. Select the Layout - I think I must have selected "Projection 2" which shows CarPlay at the top.
IMG_3941.jpeg

Then I think you edit what apps or shortcuts go in each widget / box.

Try it.

I have noticed that car sales people are not very computer literate. The computer screens, menus, and their options are beyond their comprehension.

For instance, new cars are sold with map application software that is out of date and map files that are out of date. The sales people have zero knowledge and barely know these thing exist and cannot update the application software or the map files.

The manual you should look at is not the owners manual but the UConnect Radio Manual available here: https://vehicleinfo.mopar.com/asset...2025/102676_25_00_U5_EN_USC_DIGITAL_E1_V1.pdf
