First thing, this is a great site. Been lurking for a while, got my truck and finally time to post.

Been driving a 2500 4x4 v10 for the last 10 years and traded into the 2012 single cab express with the 5.7 hemi. The hemi absolutely smokes the v10 although that is not a apples to apples comparison.

Anyway, very happy with performance but I just can't leave it alone. I have the dark grey finish and want to accent everything with hemi orange. Gonna do calipers and rotors in orange and have the wheels powder coated in black. Pin striping on hood and sides hemi orange as well.

Stopped by the muffler shop and got a few quotes. Anywhere from $350 catback to $1500 with hi flow cats and true duals. Mangaflow or flowmaster welded.

Gonna go with the S and B CAI. This will be painted hemi orange along with all under hood accents.

Looking at the Jet chip stage 2. That's all I can find for now. may wait on that.

Thinking about orange on the front grills, that may be too much.

And gonna do the H.I.D conversion.

Really had my heart set on a GT but after driving this couldn't pass up the deal and was afraid I would start missing my truck. So this will be my semi sport truck.

Any suggestions?

Sounds like a great plan so far. Only thing I dont like is that Jet chip. It will be a waste of your money and many people have even had those destroy their PCM.

How about some pics of your truck?

welcome, sounds like a awesome build coming. I would shy away from the chip and just wait for a tuner...

and I can throw in the suggestion of looking into billet tech, they can make you all new caps for under the hood in your hemi orange I believe, they also have a catch can that is popular on the 4th gens.

If you want orange accents, look into getting a pair of JJ or "retroshop" lights, he can paint em up any way you want em.

I say throw the orange on the grille. Itll be different, but thats the style I like lol

I really like the idea of the orange calipers and the orange underhood parts. Billet Tech does make an underhood dressup kit, but they anodize their parts, so I dont know that the orange would match the paint you plan to use. Might just be easier to paint everything yourself under the hood.

Welcome, I like the sound of those plans! Orange on the grille would be pretty sick depending on how you do it

Thanks.

I was hesitant about the orange but I'm going for it now.

VHT for under the hood and use the G2 stuff on the calipers and rotors.

The Jet chip is all I could find online and with the whole warranty thing I may not do a tuner or chip at all. Will have to see how the exhaust and cai feel.

Not sure about the grill, the extent would be to use the VHT on it as well but stuff under the hood is kinda dull so idk. that may not look all that great.

I'll see if I can get into my photobucket and get a few pics..

$65 a wheel sound ok for the powder coating?

Think I'll get to order the cai tonight so maybe next weekend I can have it painted and under the hood. That is the vht engine block enamel so it should get somewhat hard after curing under there.

Agree, I'll take the Jet chip off the list.

Any ideas on the pin stripe? Thinking a v on the hood coming down the sides to the tailgate and tie them together with another v on the tailgate. 2 straight lines down the center of the v on the hood and the tailgate. Like this <=. 1/8" all the way. Maybe do the center lines black?

Thanks again guys. And gals

Looks very nice. That S&B is going to look awesome under the hood.

Yeah definitely pass on the jet chip. It's as big of a paper weight as a throttle body spacer
