I am thinking abought purchasing a newer 4x4 1/2 ton. Has the Hei Tick ever been repaired? If so what year doesn't get it? Thanks

Define "hemi tick". Manifold or lifters?
All 4 gen hemis engines (which still includes the 5 gen trucks) are susceptible to the lifter tick. Recent year updates to the manifold makes it so it instead of breaking the bolts, it breaks the manifold itself. Either way, if it happens to you, replace them with a set of shorties.
