Hey guys I've been browsing and doing research trying to figure out if I should put LED's or HID's in my 2015 Ram Sport. I have the factory projectors with halogens and they suck at night and in bad weather. I know the Rams are tricky when it comes to this subject because of wiring problems and flickering and light out. I'm looking to get a very bright set that consists of the highs, lows, and fogs and that won't throw a light out code and fits behind the dust cap. If anyone has successfully completed this please let me know what you used and how it was done.

I'd suggest HID for several reasons.

1. They work will with the factory projector housing.

2. A HID upgrade is pretty much plug and play with the OEM projector housings. I've upgraded two 4th gen trucks that have the projector housings in them to HIDs and it's easy to do.

3. LED light is not as defined or clear using the OEM projectors.

HID's will give you the best light output with your factory projectors. The new LED bulbs from diode dynamics will be nice and a nice upgrade from stock but I don't think they will be as bright as HID's.

HIDs, 35W hid kit will be brighter than any LED on the market currently. Jump to a 50w HID kit and enjoy 20% more light over a 35w kit. My Fav is the 50w Elite ballasts, 15+ HID harness, and 5000-5500k bulbs. Warms up to a stock HID appearing 4500k ish temp for max usable light output. I ran 50w elite ballasts and bulbs in my stock projector housing for almost 2 years and it didnt affect the bowls btw. Just make sure you use a good HID bulb like the XB or OE for the UV filtering etc.

Not sure if you found lights or not. But I installed HID in my 17 Dodge Ram sport with no flickering or issues. Same with LEDS in my fog lights
