What about a smaller tire size? I think my sidewalls might be too big and the tire is 10" wide on a 9" rim (i think). What is a good tire size to go with but not look like rubberbands. Too small of a sidewall wouldn't look good since I'm not THAT low

Sadly that might be the answer. A smaller sidewall. A visit to the local tire store will prolly steer you right. imo. Couldn't hurt.

Going to a local tire shop isn't going to cut it as most of the time they are only versed in OEM sizes. Kristin, measure how far your tire is currently sticking past the fender.

LOL David, I dunno... 20's might look kinda silly since I've gotten so used to the 22s fillin it so well.

Dan, I just went out there and the best I can measure is this:

What's weird is the back wheels seem to tuck, but the front's stick out a tad more, they stick out past the fender about .5" to .75"

A few people who have the same exact wheels as me swear that it's just the tires that are causing the problem, and that I should run a 285 or 275 to make the wheel skinnier and not so wide.... Sound right? My tires are currently 305/40/22 and are 12" wide on a 9" rim. A 275/45/22 is 10.83" wide.

Looking at measurements online, a 275 looks like a better fit on paper.

That's what I am gathering too. I have a little chart going showing the differences in the specs. I can't find a 275/35 or a 275/40 on Discount Tire's site... I don't know if they just dont make that size, or what.

But they do have a 275/45/22. The only thing that differs between it and the ones I have is the width. Do you think changing only the width will help by bringin it in 2", or do I need a smaller sidewall to go with it?

The sidewalls on the 275/45 are .07 taller than mine, and the width is -1.18" skinnier than mine. What about just gettin 2 of the 275/45s for the front 2 tires and keepin the ones I got on the rear?

Well, measure on your current front tires where it's rubbing. Then figure in the calculations for that...and see if that will put you past the point where it's rubbing.

I think it would get it up under the fender lip, but would still rub on the inner fender. Only way to fix that part is to get tubs for the front b/c if I took em out, I'd throw up water in the engine bay.... But I'm thinkin since they are 1.18" skinnier, it would bring it in that .75" it's stickin out.... HMMMM!! I may finally have it! This is makin my brain fried haha

Ok, I have heard that 265/35/22 doesnt rub at all, would it be *** if I just got 2 of the 265's for the front and kept the 305's in the back? Or would it rake my truck too much? Should I just get 265s all around?

Leave the 305's. You can always lower the rear more in the future.

Correct me if Im wrong, but the difference between the 305/40/22 (installed) and the 265/35/22 (potential tire) is:

The 265 is 1.6 narrower, 1.1 shorter, and 2.3 less in total outside diameter.

The 265's will give you the clearance you need up front. And the 305's will give you the wide tread pattern of a high performance truck. I.E. like the corvette. Which is what a lot of guys (in this case, girls ) do for added traction.

Not only will guys be impressed by the badass truck you drive. They will also think you have so big HP #'s to go with them tires!

All in all, I agree with Assassin. Keep the 305's in the rear, and toss the 265's up front.
