I'm looking at possibly purchasing a 2014 Ram 3500. The truck is at a dealership and the previous owner all ready took all the badges off. Before I purchase this truck how do I tell if it has the HO / Aisin combo? T.I.A

Get the VIN and have the dealer run the build sheet.

Crawl up underneath the truck and see if the transmission have PTO covers. If it does, it's an Aisin.

So build sheet says 6 speed auto Aisin AS69RC HD Trans. From what I've been reading up on, this is the one that carries the HO motor. Am I correct? Is this the combo that has 385hp and 850' lbs torq?

From Dodges website (note this is a 2015):

"Pair an available AISIN six-speed heavy-duty automatic transmission with our available 6.7L Cummins® Turbo Diesel I6 engine and benefit from our Best-in-Class 865 pound-feet of torque+"

I always thought the HO motor was the 6.4L HEMI, and the Cummins always had the power you speak of, but was limited to the trans, so I would say any 6.7L Cummins with an Aisin is the big bad mamajama

Yup. The AISIN means it's the HO Cummins.
