I have been thinking about adding tow hooks to my 2016 Express and have been watching the threads concerning this. Does anyone happen to have a link to the Ken's relocation kit for the tow hooks?
Thank you

I designed the original version of these brackets including stress analysis so they would function and break away (in case of crash) in the same manner as the factory brackets. I made a run of 50 sets a couple years ago using a CNC VMC. They sold quickly.

They weren't cost effective to make, and to be profitable would have required me invest in a cnc clasma cutter.

But, i did make the prints and specs available for free in .pdf form on grabcad.com, along with some my other designs (mostly CNC machine parts and gun parts).

Youll have sign up for an account, then be logged in.

Go to the "search engineers" page. Type "ken from washington" in the search box.

Once you click on "tow hooks", click the button that says "view files", and download the .pdf files for each side.

I also have some cool gun and reloading widget designs posted for free at thingiverse.com. just search my username.

Anyone with a drill and angle grinder could make the brackets using 5$ worth of angle iron. Measure twice, cut once.

I can't seem to find any videos or information here regarding installing front tow hooks on a 2018 4th Gen SPORT.

Is it even posible?
Does our sport frame even have the tow hook bolt locations?

-Ideally I'd like to buy an insert pre-cut for the hooks so I don't have to butcher my existing insert just in case.
-Which tow hooks would fit the frame?

Would prefer to do no drilling or cutting, just snap in replacement lower bumper insert with tow hook cutouts, slide the hooks in, and unscrew the frame bolts to bolt in.

Such a thing possible or exist?

After reading ,most of (not ALL), everybodies responses, I found that no real mention of "which way" the hooks face (as I was made aware of after installing mine). That said though, looking at those pictures that were proved I noticed that there's a mix between this. I installed mine with the "opening" facing inboard. I did it this way so that they were "centered" (looked) better in the facia; it "dips down" on the outer edges on both sides. I love the look of the edging that "JB1" used around his hooks.

Does anyone know if NEW tow hooks come with hardware (bolts & nuts)?

Found some but they’re without any hardware..just the hooks themselves. I remember reading another member had a hard time because he couldn’t find the hardware so I THINK they’re “supposed to” come with nuts and bolts??

Well guys. I finally did it!!! Took 4 hours because I didn't have a deep 18mm socket so had to run to Lowe's and then working on the last hook the damn Harbor Freight 1/2" torque wrench exploded!! So got stuck using 3/8" torque wrench with breaker bar and shallow 3/4" socket which absolutely sucked.

Shoutout to @crazykid1994 for the tow hook brackets (sanded off most the rust then did 3 rust base coats & 2 black top coats), eBay for the bolts & tow hooks (new without box and slight scratches I'm hoping don't rust), and the one member on the forums for the BEAUTIFUL trim recommendation to clean it all up (woulda looked like trash without the trim)! Only complaints I guess are the trim where the two ends meet, didn't think about it before installing the hooks permanently or would have had to trim piece end another way and it’s not EXACTLY even on each side, but can't complain actually came out wonderful.

You can easily get more room under the bottom of the hook and the bumper with a little modification. Just drill new 1/2" holes under the existing holes in the mounting brackets and chop off the alignment tab as well as 1/4" from the metal between the tabs. It'll raise everything up 1/2" or so and center the hooks where they should be. I opted to make the install challenging by cutting a hole just big enough for the hook to pass through on each side and install the hooks and the plastic filler piece as one unit. Took some maneuvering but worth it.

I decided to go for this mod before winter set in. Thought itd be interesting to try the 4th gen rebel hooks since I havent seen anyone else do that yet. Had to modify the bracket to get the hook centered in the opening. I predrilled 5/8" diameter holes 15mm below the factory, cut off the centering pin and ground down the middle area that wraps the frame. For cutting the plastic I used a jig saw and hit the edges with a map gas torch to clean up the fuzz. I feel like the rebel tow hooks stick out enough to be pretty useful, but they really mess up the sleek look of the sport bumper so I'm not sure if I like them or not. I might get a set of the standard hooks and see how they look also.
