How do you program a key fob 2015 ram V6

I have a 2015 v6 ram. The key fob starts the truck but the buttons to lock and unlock don't work(I don't have remote start). Cleaned the circuit board and replaced the battery. So I ordered 2 fobs from Amazon and don't want to pay a dealer to program them if I can do it myself....

Look over in the 4th gen section (your currently in the 5th gen section for 2019+), specifically the alfa obd threads. That will tell you how you can do that and many other things without the dealer. I think there's about a million page thread (slight exaggeration) about alfa in the 4th gen section.

Alpha obd is an app you use on your android device.you will need an obl link mx+ that uses Bluetooth to access the app vis obd port.can't remember prices but under 200.00 for both.with the 4 digit pin for your truck and the alpha obd you can program a fob literally in under 60 seconds.with factory fobs I haven't tried aftermarket ones.if you are going to use the alpha obd more than once it's well worth it.if you just need the fobs programmed check what the dealer charges.some charge 60 bucks a fob others over a hundred.some won't do aftermarket fobs almost all will still charge you even if they can't get the fobs to programm

I just did this yesterday on my truck when I installed remote start I had to program my new fobs.
The lock, unlock, panic and remote start all worked normal once the fob was programmed to start the truck nothing special was needed outside of normal key fob program.
I used Alfa ODB and my windows laptop as I am not an android guy.
If you own a ram and like to do things yourself Alfa ODB is a must have in garage.
Alfa software costs around 50 bucks, the ODB link costs about 100-120 depending on the one you get.

Just did this today as well.. here is my experience.

You need to enable Remote Keyless Entry under body computer configuration if your truck did not have remote fobs before

you need to reset the RFhub after programming the new fobs within the RF hub

took me a couple of hours to get this down.. but it finally works.
