I just put a catch can on my (new to me) 2017 1500 Sport 5.7 (43k mi) and after only about 4-5 days I was fairly surprised with how much oil had already made it into the can.

How quickly do your cans collect? I thought blow by was a bigger deal on boosted vehicles.

Depends on the weather on mine. Cold and humid I collect lots. Hot and dry I can go a month it two before it fills up.

I’m in the same boat as Brandon. Cold and humid = more oil in the can. Hot and dry = less.
I’ve also noticed, if I make more short trips, the can tends to fill a little quicker than if I drive the same miles all in one shot.

Yeah same here. If I drive short 25 mile trips to town it fills fast. If I drive 600 miles straight it only has half as much.

I check mine every 5/6 weeks and dump a few fingers.

I took an 800 mile interstate road trip and it was the same. A few fingers.

I wonder, if I get old timers, will I forget I have it?

Also depends a lot on how you drive,if you like putting the skinny pedal to the floor a fair bit,and here that hemi roar,it'll fill up faster.I can drive mine around for a month on the street, and have less in it,then one night at the dragstrip puts in it

Installed a Mishimoto can a few days ago. Out of curiosity checked it today after some city stop and go and hard highway driving. Not a lot in the can but I'm surprised at how much has already collected in a few days. IMHO a very worthwhile mod.
