Gonna be getting a 2" leveling lift kit from Hell Bent Steel. Around how much should I pay to get it installed? I don't want to get ripped off.

I'm not sure but I have the same kit on my truck, pretty straight forward install...was worried but now that I've installed it myself...it's doable, especially if you're worried about install cost. Get a buddy, two jacks and some jack stands and you're in business...either way good luck, you'll love the stance when it's done, changes the whole look of the truck!

If you wind up getting a shop to do it, go to one that doesn't charge an extra fee for not ordering the parts through them. I can't remember exactly but I think I paid around $150-200 for the install on mine. But the shop I use charges
an extra 25% for not ordering parts through them. I only still go to them because most of the time they can order me the exact part I want and get it faster than if I order it online. And because they did all the work I had done on my old vehicle so I know they're reliable.

Definitely don't pay over $200. I'd say anything under $150 is acceptable.

Thanks for the input everyone. I'm gonna be calling them tomorrow to ensure that the product will work for my truck. Then I'll be calling around town to find a good install price.

Be sure to factor in $65-$100 for a quality alignment. If you lived near me, I would help you install for free. Did it solo on mine in about 3 casual hours.

+1 on installing yourself. There are plenty of youtube videos and its nice learning how your own vehicle is put together. When YOU torque stuff you KNOW its right.

Goodluck though and btw we love pictures haha

Install it yourself but if a shop gives you a good quote with an alignment thrown in that'd be key

I had no idea that I would have to get it aligned too. Absolutely required? This mod is a real money pit.

Damn. I'm pretty sure nobody is going to throw in an alignment they could make more money on nowadays. For the price of the parts, install, and alignment, I could just get Moe's Ported Throttle Body. All that money for 2" is starting to seem ridiculous.

Doing the install myself is not an option BTW.

In my personal opinion, it was worth it for my truck. Because I can't stand the way trucks look with rake that leaves them sagging in the front. I just couldn't stand to have my truck looking that way so I bit the bullet on the install price, because a DIY install was out of the picture for me too...I would break something for sure and I also don't have the tools necessary.

I also knew when I bought this truck that I am going to have it for a very, very long time. That being said, I'm not shy to spend a little extra on a mod to have it done properly rather than messing something up on my own (because I have almost no mechanical knowledge). And I know I have plenty of time down the road to do the other mods I want.

Well I called around to 4 different local shops. I can get the kit installed and the truck aligned for $220. That was the best price by far.

Unfortunately, I placed a call to Hell Bent Steel just now and they informed me that they don't sell anything for 2WD. So, does anyone have any recommendations for where I can get a 2" leveling lift kit for a 2013 Ram 1500 Quad Cab 2WD?

Just checked the majority of them. No luck so far.

Seems like a good price to me. If you lived even remotely close to me I would do it for you at no charge but being in CA gas cost would be a lot more then the shop price.

I did it myself in my tiny garage, it was easy. You said thats not an option, $220 for install and alignment seems very fair honestly.

I wish you did live closer! Haha thanks though

Seems fair to me too. It's just a hard pill to swallow for 2". Makes me think twice about spending $300 on 2" when I could spend it on something else.
