How much would you expect to pay, if you went into a shop and had them bend an exhaust pipe (that you supply) and replace your old piping with it as well as a new muffler (that you also supply)?

I'm gonna get the exhaust done within the next week and would just like some ballpark estimates, I don't want this shop trying to rip me off...

What all ate you getting replaced besides the muffler? Are you replacing the pipe from the cat back or what?

i had everything headers back
but only wanted the catback on. and they wanted 75 just to unbolt a pipe and replace it.

but if you dont have the pipes, they will charge you for the pipe, welds, and time

i'm replacing the pipe from the muffler (including the muffler) to the back. I'm supplying both pipe and muffler. I just need the pipe bent and welded on with the muffler..

It only takes a few minutes per bend with a mandrel bender...if they are trying to pinch bend it dont let them do it...water gets trapped in the pinch pockets and will start to cause rust...

$220 for a couple of welds and bending a pipe is ridiculous... I wouldn't think any more that $60-$75 tops

When I was first shopping around for my exhaust, I was quoted $200 for a whole exhaust with the installer supplying everything...granted it wasnt a magnaflow though...but was a single in/dual out ran out both rear bed corners and angled at 45 degrees with stainless tips.

I think their labor fee is something like 80 bucks an hour..but this shouldn't even take an hour if it's first thing in the morning when there is no one there..

Prices vary greatly by area. I went to and/or called about 20 shops with 50 mile of me when I got my Magnaflow Y installed. It ended up costing me $160 to get it installed. I have read many people on the forums getting the Y installed for less than $50.
