I am tryin to do auto start on factory keyfob on my 2023 classic slt and it is also asking for 5 digit code. Alphaobd cannot retrieve code . Any ideas

Well at last it’s done thank you for this thread @Jimmy07 what an awesome write up. Also, @DoughRat19 I could not have done it w/o you either, especially when it came to purchasing the 2014 $30 per door handle off eBay. It ended up working out but if you didn’t mention the magnet I would’ve been po’d wasting so much time. The base of the factory door handles on my truck W/O enter n go have the spot for the magnet same as the prke base. It looks like they are all the same on the classic model if I were to guess. I was able to disassemble the door handles and paint the covers with the bumper and plastic paint from oreilly’s to match the textured black. Saved a ton of $$ on taking this gamble since I did all 4 doors instead of just driver and passenger. So stoked guys, this makes life so much easier. Thank you again!

I am using resistor for testing right now before i order latch and still using my original tip keyfob but it doesn't have remote start button. I tried pressing lock button 3 times but it doesn't work. Can anyone tell if i am missing something. I've had the passive entry on my 18' ram for a little over a year. Today I noticed that if the truck is unlocked when I grab the handle the truck attempts to unlock every time I grab the handle is this normal?
I would have thought that there would have been a setting or something when I added everything via alfaobd that would have let the vehicle know it is already unlocked and not need to unlock again.

The door handles and whatnot I can find on my own, but I was wondering if anyone had updated links for the terminals and connectors as the mouser links are dead. I'm in Canada and get everything from digi-key, so I'd appreciate if I could get part numbers and I can search them up myself

Also, if I have a '17 Laramie, I'm assuming the RF hub is already set up to support these upgrades, and I won't need to replace it? Can I use AlphaOBD to confirm before pulling the back seat apart?

I have noticed this to be normal for how the system operates. At least on the install I completed on my 16.

The reason for my comment was to inform people that there is a compustar remote start system that does the proximity locking and unlocking. I had it installed a month ago and I have been really impressed with it

Your trucks PIN for the fob programming- You get this from your dealer parts department in the form of a key code inquiry. If they give you a hard time, or if they want to charge you more than $15 for it, or you just don’t want to deal with them, there’s an app called Chrysler PIN Puller you can use that costs $15.

A quick search and I found them (at least the first one on the list) at master Electronics and they are sold individually. Might taking some more searching around to find all of them in small quantities. But yes, they are probably obsolete at this point so finding them will be difficult

Update: I spoke with @DoughRat19 who clarified I omitted a step in my install. I should have used my old PIN from the old RF hub to program the new fobs to the new RF hub. Then, when I reset the new RF hub, I should have used the old PIN again to program it into the new RF hub where it will remain forever. Read the directions folks!

I just wrapped up this project and my new RF brain stated it had the 5-pin rolling code in AlfaOBD. I didn't know about the glitch requiring an older version so I ended up using Jscan to pull the new code and it showed my code as 0000, I rebooted the RF brain and then the 0000 code worked and still does. I guess that AlfaOBD bug claims there's a 5 digit rolling code when there's not? Took me 3 hours to get it working but once the 0000 code worked, I programmed the 2x FOBIK highline OEM remotes and was off to the races. My Amazon clone remote wouldn't program at all.
