Can you get different LEDs and hook up a blue color one or red?

Good question. I wanted to put amber bulbs in my floor lighting, but from what I'm reading, there is only 1 option. :(

Thanks for the detailed write up! The photos are a HUGE plus. What trim models have these lights already installed from the factory? I have a 2013 Big Horn and would like to do this mod.

Poke hole through carpet with Philips screw driver and slide light socket through. Makes for very snug fit and no need for tape or screw.

Now you can add any color light you want. There's a incandescent in there now for an example. Flush and "mopar" factory

Bought the kit from Allmoparparts with the bezels and while it is exactly what I wanted to purchase, I didnt take into consideration the color. For those who might be interested in buying this it is indeed a warm white color of about 3000K, so if you have LEDs in your interior that are a cooler spectrum, say 6000k it kinda clashes...Also if you look up the phrase "**** on a boar hog" you will find in the description a picture of the foam tape used to attach the led module..took all of 4 hrs for it to fall off. Took it off and used 3m siding tape and it fell off as well after a day. One might think of a more sturdy mount for it. I am going utilize a threaded bolt led and a piece of plexiglass I think to stiffen up the carpet piece mount under the glove box.

Why did you use tape if you have the bezels? The bezel is what holds them on...

You have to trim a little more carpet from the sides. I had the same problem at first. If you trim just a little more though they will snap in and hold it. (the sides not ends if that makes sense.)

Yep did that...in fact I literally shaved the carpet down to the fiberboard (or whatever the stiff part is under the carpet. Still didnt click in..in fact I put it together without anything in between it and the bezel would just fall off. I think it had to do wtih the fact that the bezel arms were smashed flat when I got them. They didnt break off but they were really flimsy. Really doesnt matter though...as I said with the cool blue map lights and dome that warm yellow in the floor clashes really bad. Ill have some cool blue ones (6000k) to put in today so it will all match. I just hate to cut my harness.

Just got a set of those round lamp sockets from the jeep for 10 bucks. Like this option as I can use the same 194 LED's I used in my map lights to keep the same light color. If anyone else is looking, the part number for those lamp sockets is 56042559AA

And here they are installed with LED's :) Used zip ties for the driver side and a plastic push tab for the passenger side.

I bought a set of red LED's from radio shack and just used a Volt meter to figure out which pin on the stock harness was +/- and just pushed the wires into the holes and heat shrinked them. Think total cost was around $5.

Nice little mod for the cost. Stupid easy to install and gives off a good amount of light. Can't go wrong for 55 bucks.
