Pretty simple but took a few minutes to figure out how to get at that pesky bulb! This should save you some time and give you something to do when your bored one day! :D

Yeah just the typical 194 peanut style bulb you see everywhere. lol I never really paid much attention to the one handed dexterity until you mentioned it! I think my days of wrenching on Hondas shoulder deep in small spaces with sensors, clips, and bolts on my fingertips definitely has helped :roflsquared:

I changed mine this weekend to a 194 I had leftover. It was a little tricky to get the switch to pop out but I persuaded it. The video made it easy

I have a couple left over that came with the interior LED set I got off Amazon. After fighting with the map lights - had to take the whole overhead console down to get those out - I didn't feel like fighting with this one.

Thanks for the inspiration. One word of caution to anyone trying this. While wrestling the switch out of the mounting hole, I must have torqued on it to hard and the switch came apart. Fortunately, there are few parts. The base of the switch has two brass contacts with a thin post to hold the spring. There are two bulb contact that fell out when the switch came apart. Fortunately, I found both contacts and the spring! (Whew!) I could see how everything was supposed to go back together, but the faceplate of the switch would not click in place. Finally, I realized that the bulb contacts needed to be in the faceplate rather than the base so that the guides could slide in place. Just remember, bulb contacts on the back side of the face plate. Then, slide the base of the switch onto the back side of the face plate and snap it all together. Don't forget the spring! :)
