Hi all I am new to this forum and wanted to ask a question if I could.

I just purchased new Vision 375 Warrior Wheels 17x8 for my truck.

Along with that I purchased Nitto Terra Grappler 295/70/17 on with a factory lift.

Purchased wheels at Discount Tire by the way and the Tires from NTB.

Since purchase one week ago, I have had a good vibration going on.

NTB has balanced and re-balanced three times and still have the vibration.

They claim I need Hub Centric Rings. Discount Tires says I don't.

Who is right? Did any of you have issues when upgrading wheels and tires?

NTB here does not have the capabilites to road force balance them.

Discount Tire said they would pay for Road Force Balance and are also sending me Hub Centric Rings. Discount Tire are the people to buy from for sure. They are GREAT!

Thanks for any input you may have and nice to meet you all!!!

i would think that hub centric rings can't hurt, but lug centric wheels and bolts should work. To me it sounds like a balance issue. Glad to hear that discound tire is stepping up and taking care of you though

Yep, they are great people there! Already got the rings sent out and I made that call only four hours ago.

So we will try that and see if it helps. Every time I go to NTB, they keep telling me I am a couple ounces off on each wheel .

This to me sounds extreme! Or the fact they just don't know how to balance a tire and wheel combo! LOL:roflsquared:

welcome to the site, ive got 26s no hubcentric rings no vibrations, but on previous vehicles the rings did help with vibration also lug nuts can play apart as well with vibrations, tire imperfection will also cause it, can you isolate where/which tire its coming from, front or back? if so rotate and see if it goes away

Unfortunately I feel it in my seat big time and also the steering wheel.
So both areas are doing it.

The third NTB here seemed to get them pretty dialed in and cut the vibration by about 85%, but it is still there and I want it to ride like it did when I bought it.

Which honestly was like a luxury car.

I'm surprised the tire places are fighting you so much. I went back with a vibration with brand new wheels / tires. First thing the shop did was dismount the tire, and see if the rim was *****'d. (It was) they replaced the wheel, suddenly there was no longer an issue!

If it's taking 2 oz to balance, that's really not 'horrid' I've seen 4oz before on brand new BFG AT/KO's. I took it back (Dad's truck) and asked politely for a good tire. They (Discount) swapped it out, new one had a 1.25 OZ weight. I was ok with that.

Well my rims were from Discount Tire and he said he would pay for a road force and if it is determined one of the wheels is ****, then he would replace it and send over night, shipping both ways. He claims I should not need the Hub Centric Rings.

NTB claims I do. So they (Discount Tire) sent me the rings for free. If after that I still have vibration then I am off to find someone to road force balance them. NTB I finally found out has a place 50 miles from me and that is where I will be going. But for now, we are going to rebalance, re-align , install the Hub Centric Rings and see what is up.

I can tell you this much.........I am sick as hell of dealing with this. I have never had to go through this with new wheels and tires before.

And I have swapped alot of wheels and tires before that is for sure.
