If you get it, maintain it properly.I'm starting to have anxiety too and I'm just starting to shop/negotiate for a 2025 Bighorn 1500 with the HO engine.
Not normally, wonder if "he" is ordering special or he has incorrect info, assumptions. Would have to get back to the poster and have him clarify.I don't think you could get the HO motor in anything other than the RHO, Limited, Longhorn, and Tungsten trims.
HO engine is not an option for a Bighorn...Only the SO is available.I'm starting to have anxiety too and I'm just starting to shop/negotiate for a 2025 Bighorn 1500 with the HO engine.

Thanks for your experience I left the dealership Saturday and engine light came on with a faulty vibration censor so hopefully when that’s taken care of I’ll have no issues as I only drive probably 8k miles a year and not hard on engines I’m hoping this is a solid engine and they learned from Chevy and Ford turbo problemsLike all engines, the SST has a few concerns mostly around software (which is being updated regularly) and the thermostat housing which is a rare issue and will be recalled if it becomes a concern the average guys should worry about. Overall, particularly for an engine that has only been out 2-3 years (Wagoneer), it has been super solid. We just bought a SO Bighorn and absolutely love it. In response to a couple comments above, the youtube guy that said it is quicker? The SST destroys the hemi, it's not even close. 0-60, 1/4 mile, roll ons, towing, etc. Makes the power much more smoothly and linearly. Also, our SO doesn't mind 87 octane at all. The engine was tuned to operate safely on it. Might you get a little more power on 89-93? Sure, but it won't be noticeable seat of the pants and most folks are noticing no MPG benefits with the higher octane fuel either. Lastly, there was a comment about poor reliability with ecoboost engines. They have had issues, but not to the level implied above. All these V8 engines now have cylinder deactivation and issues with that over complication. These twin turbos are more involved but maybe not as much as one assumes. Remember, the V8s these days are not the same or as simple as they were 20 years ago.
