Hello

I've had a very slow coolant leak for several years on my 2006 3500 5.9 and I have finally found where it is coming from "HVAC Heater Hose Replacement for Dodge Ram 2500 / Ram 3500 5.9L For Diesel Engine 2006-2009"
My concern is if I remove the hose and the clamps will a new hose be able to be fitted without removing the assembly?
I could just wrap the hose and put on a couple of new clamps and cross my fingers, but I would really like to do it right. To replace the assembly looks like a PITA and beyond what I want to do laying on my back.
Please chirp in as I want to go fishing next week. :)
My trucks only got 104,000 KM on it so it's barely broken in, as I just use it for my camper..

Cheers

Also have this issue curious as to how easy this was to replace. Did the hard line have to be loosened up to get the new hose installed?

I just completed this today. You can gain enough space by removing the pipe mount under the exhaust manifold for the upper side and also for the lower connection there is a bolt holding it in place as well right at the back pass side of the motor (right by bottom of hose in pic). Once loosened I zip tied the lower pipe to the dip stick for the transmission to hold it 73bf6f9832a9c0ee453c2a27e2c6a823.jpegout of the way. Between the two that offsets the pipes enough to fit the hose on. It was a learning experience…not a lot of leverage and the newer part was hard to get on. I offset them then pushed the hose on from underneath the truck.
