And I was looking for someone to do this a while back when I was having all that trouble with my interior pieces getting painted.

So possible to dip tails?

sure! But....we'd have to make sure to get a REAL transparent setup.......

Dat Cummins!
Old tread alert!

I was just wondering, at 3:00am, if they have a Longhorn Laramie pattern they could dip. Man! That would be sweet.
I would be all over that, "like a fat kid on a cupcake"

I looked into this with my family a while back, and I know that we don't carry it. There are wood grain patterns similar to it, but I don't even know if its possible for someone besides dodge factory to get it.

I haven't seen it exactly.......and, heck - I'm sure that we get the same films as Eddie's family does.

I'm interested in this. I'd like to get the center gray portion of the engine cover from my Charger dipped. Something like red skulls or a grim reaper or something like that. They have anything like that?

Sure, we can do something like reaper, or hades - do a base of red and then dip away!

Johnny, from what I know, custom patterns from basically any picture can be printed but they are extremely expensive.

Awesome. I had a pretty good idea, but I'm on vacation with the parents that own that shop. So I just asked real quick when I asked. Haha.

So does the expensive part depend on the complexity of the design? So give me a ballpark on this design -

The expensive part is that fact that you have to have the design sent off to be transferred onto a film that will be used to dip the part. And considering they normally only make giant rolls for companies to buy, having one small sliver of film made with 1 design on its gonna cost ya.

Quick question though, whatcha want it on?

bingo, it was the first thing I asked my dipper. He looked at me and said "don't even think about it, unless you have thousands sitting around burning a hole in your pocket"

I'm thinking on my cowl, or just have it painted to match the truck.
I was going to do this but I was told the vents do have a purpose so I'll probably just paint it as is.

Seeing as I've already spent that, I will probably just not do it lol.

So is it cheaper if you have several things done at the same time rather than one?

And can you do this yourself at home?

its always cheaper to do more than less in pieces.

Doable at home? Sure......but, quite a bit of materials are needed.
