Doable at home? Sure......but, quite a bit of materials are needed.

Id hate to be a bother here or hurt business, but doing this stuff at home is super simple. Having done lots of my own projects so far myself. Theres kits you can buy online and all you would need is a container big enough to dip the object in. The kit comes with literally everything you need, from the film to the activator. Is it cheaper? Yes. Will it be as good as jj does?? Prolly not haha so you sacrifice money for workmanship. Me personally i love doing stuff my self so of course ill go the poor workmanship route. Hell i even dipped my xbox 360 haha. And both controllers.

After it is put on how hard is it to be removed or is that not possible?

Um? With the stuff i use ***** gotta "cure" for like 12 days lol but its not really "easy" to take off. Then again thats only my experience. JJ would prolly know more lol

It absolutely cannot be taken off. It has to be prepped in the same way you would paint an item, and also has a clear coat over top of it when done. So, if done right, you should not be able to get it off and get back to whatever was there before since you have to sand a prep like you would for painting.

JJ - Can you get film for us? If we are setup to do ourselves, but cant find a film we want.. can your guy help?

Its actually readily available on the links I have in my ad. My painter gets a slight discount, but nothing that makes it resellable at.

Everything I do is doable at home man. LOL Its not hurting my business. Bottom line, its what someone feels comfortable doing. From what I've read and then talked to my dipper about - yeah, relatively simple. But, I'm not one that wants to do this in my bathtub, rubbermaid tub, etc.

Yea i hear ya on that lol, i used my wifes giant wash basin downstairs made a huge mess and she almost killed me cause of it haha.

This is what i'm thinking about for the interior... The normal.. AC trim, radio trim, few pieces on the door.. Interior is black.. 2013.

I have a buddy with a paint shop..maybe he will paint everything for me...and Ill do the dipping. Found a great company in FL to buy the films from...is that where you get your??? There is no one in my area that does dipping...I wanna start it for a side job.

I have a guy that does this for me......he built his own tank, etc - does all the paint, everything. I am not 100% sure where he gets all of the materials from, I leave that to him

This is kind of interesting to me; I love my long horn but I don't like the gold trim pieces...the only problem is some of those bits are on the steering wheel controls. Is there a way to get those off and send them in?

If it can get wet, we can dip it. Now....on the guns / bows, etc - I would just get you in contact with my guy. I don't need to be in the middle on guns and stuff.
