I love JL subs....especially the W6's but the Morel Ultimo is in a league of it's own. Quite possibly the worlds most perfect sub. Talk about power handling....the damned thing has a 5" voice coil.


Gonna swap this in and change the HU to a Kenwood Excelon DNN990HD with the PAC interfaces for steering wheel controls and stuff.

I bet that sounds great now! Very nice!

I can tell you that the Morel Ultimo 12 is for sale on another site....for an AMAZING price too
I believe he mentioned the sub did not respond well to the size of his enclosure and it was a bit under powered....Ultimos love power and a lot of it.
I mentioned he's going to try an Illusion Audio Carbon 12 which is a sick subwoofer in its own right...
Hopefully UB will chime in with details

I've tried switching from my W6's and nothing else has made me as happy. Amazing subs.. surprised UB wants to switch.

He was trying out one of the higher end subs in the car audio market, I don't think he ever had anything bad to say about the W6 its just the design of the new one he was trying would give the system a different sound.
