I'm with you about the superfluous stuff. I really dislike climate control. It seems I spend more time trying to get it adjusted than anything else. I did put a backup camera on mine - I have an SLT. Other than that I like it just as it is.

Im curious to how smooth the 8 speed is in it. My 1500 2018 and 2018 were silky. My dads 2016 Power wagon slams into 1st gear when downshifiting most of the time, Ram says its normal. He doesnt care, its got the lifetime warranty.

What?! Set it to your desired temp and be done with it.

Ive had my truck almost 3 years now, in northern michigan. I have yet to play around with the temp setting much. Just leave it at 70 and be done with it. Let the truck do its job. I do switch back and forth from AC/defrost etc., but thats about it.

I'm with maverickmk on this one. I set mine to 70 and it just keeps pumping out heat until I'm sweating, drives me insane. Anyway, the truck looks good. There's just the right amount of chrome. My Laramie has chrome dripping off it and I can't stand it.

I agree with the Laramie package and limited. They go a little too far with the chrome. I think “personally” the tradesman chrome package adds the right amount. FWIW I debase cause that’s a tad too much chrome lol

Thats why they sell vehicles in different colors and different trim packages. Buy the one that you like, and dont worry about the other guys setup.

To the OP, do you have keyless entry? I want nearly the same options as you, but I do want keyless entry. I can do without remote start, but no keyless entry is no good.
When building an 18, if you add keyless entry I think it makes you add the carpet pckage.
I had vinyl seats and no carpet in my 2012 f250 xl and loved it.

Mine has keyless entry but not the proximitry entry. To unlock the doors, you have to push the button on the fob.
