My son bought a used 2015 Ram Tradesman and we noticed that it had 3X lock button remote start. We also noticed the driving lights stay on at all times like DDL's. Didn't think much more about it but a few months later and it is starting to have issues! The truck will randomly shut off at stop signs or red lights! He has to wait a minute or so until it resets to start it back up. It is also lunging while driving at random times. The instrument panel is also glitching like the mileage disappears and the speedo needle will drop to 0 and back to speed.

We are thinking it is being caused by this aftermarket kit...Does it sound suspect for these issues? Also, the truck has an aftermarket Pioneer radio in it...is this kit needed for the radio or something?

I'd start by testing the battery.

Battery tested good. It ha gotten progressively worse. Lunging at highway speed and screen messages saying to pull over and put into park and drive again. Dash lights up like xmas tree...it's at the dealer service shop now! Hopefully they can figure out whats wrong and fix it!
