Im putting a 3 inch body lift on my black 2013 sport 1500. I plan on putting 35" nitto trail grapplers with 20" black wheels. There is a handful of black wheels I like. One of them is the MKW wheels called the M87 in full black. My issue with these is I can't find a picture of them on a vehicle anywhere on the internet. Anyway any advice or opinions would be much appreciated.

I agree, I think those are some great looking wheels. The only reason I'm not considering them is because I see them everywhere. I'd rather have some wheels that you don't see very often.

Have you considered 17's on a lifted truck? The smaller rim looks and functions more like a 4x4 IMO. As for the wheels, I like them a lot, either 17, 18 or 20's will look great on a blacked out truck. However, not totally blacked out, does that bug you at all?

I have decided against the M87's. I do like those other wheels you posted. I have been considering them. There are so many wheels out there and I have been taking extensive notes. I have a long list, but one of my favorites is Mickey Thompson's side biter 2. I have decided I like the deeper lip look, like maybe around 3 inches. What I'm currently struggling with is what offset to go with. I completely understand everything about offset. Im looking at wheels with anything between 0 to -24. The question I have is if I get a wheel with 0 offset, will the tire stick out far enough to look good/right for when I get fender flares in the future?

That is my favorite as well, 6 - 8 spoke deep and flat wheel. These are my favorite but I really dig the MIckey T's as well. These aren't totally black but in person they are really cool. Those rivets are machined out and look killer. You save 100 bucks a rim buy getting 17's and again they are a better 4x4 looks, these are American racing rims.

I don't know what offset will give you your desired width, talk to your local tire guy on that one.

Yes those are killer, simple is better! Usually those stockers aren't strong (usually they don't even come in 20's because they will break). But if you choose 17's then those are great rims.

I was aiming for simple and not flashy. I don't want to run what I see on every other truck on the road. Not only are they more expensive, I just don't want what everybody else has.

These are 150 a wheel, a simple design that I like, and I've only seen these on a few wranglers.. No trucks

Yeah the Mickey Thompson's are at the top of my list because it doesn't seem like many people have them on trucks. They seem more popular on jeeps. Also, they are gloss black. What I have also been contemplating is the finish of the wheel. There are not very many wheels that are predominantly gloss black. Most of the all black wheels are matte or satin black. My truck is almost 100% blacked out with most of that black being a gloss black. So I feel like it will look weird with a matte black down there. My brother has a black tundra with gloss black wheels, and it looks amazing. Anymore opinions would be much appreciated. Burla, thanks for hitting me up with ideas. Once I narrow it down to 3 wheels I will definitely seek your opinion.

I'm new to actually posting any messages on forums. I was always just a spectator. Does "pm" mean private message?

You're welcome sir. So 20 versus 17 with a 35 inch tire. If you ever go offroad or on the snow you can lower tire pressure for traction a lot easier then with 20's. Maybe even consider 18's. If you like 20's go for it, they actually will give you a better ride at pressure but the 17's will be more versatile. With 35's the difference is not as pronounced as with 33's, so you can argue that with 35's the 20's will be a good choice and I would agree. But with 33's the 20 inch rim looks like a street tire for sure, not really suitable for a 4x4 IMO. Just posted them up so you can choose, peace

BTW, I looked up those side biter MT's you were talking about, man those are Burla approved for sure. I might be considering those myself when i get rims. Perfect for a blacked out ride and I agree with you on the gloss black as well.

Here is a 17 MT side biter

Yeah Burla, I understand where you are coming from with the smaller wheels. I originally was going to go with 18's. I thought it was "beefier/tougher" looking and better for off road. I'm definitely going with 35" Nitto Trail Grapplers, and I'm in school so I don't plan on doing too much off roading except for when I'm hunting. The deciding factor was after my brother got his black 2010 4x4 crew max tundra lifted and put on 35" trail grapplers with 20" gloss black American eagle 018 wheels. When I saw it I was like that's definitely the look I want. On my 2004 Ram I had 35" Nitto Mud Grapplers with the stock 20" wheels, which I also enjoyed. So just thought I would explain my interest in 20 inch wheels.
