Today I am working on painting some of my plastic trim pieces in my engine bay to match the color of the truck. So far I have all the fluid caps and the cover for the fuse box. I thought about starting there and seeing if more needed to be painted. Whats yalls thoughts? I attached some pictures, dont worry its just primer for now...or should I just stop while im ahead, as this is stupid lol

hmm im no painter so it might be a dumb idea but what if you put a trip of tape accross the top of the letters then go back and with an exacto knife cut the excess off leaving just the letters covered

Exactly what I was thinking..and then cover around it to paint the letters, might take some time but I think itll be worth it!

Another option and one I am going to try on my CCV cover on my cummins is to paint the cover and then cover the area around the letters with play dough ao that the letters and cummins C are cisible and the paint them black.

Now I understand painting to look better, but i would have left the dipstick yellow..just incase you took your truck for a oil change somewhere, the tech is gonna say he can't find it. Of course this is a non existent if you do that yourself

Haha yeah I do it all myself..I was getting annoyed with the yellow, so i painted it all. If I did take it to get it serviced I wouldnt have messed with it.
