There's a few 4th gen RCSB's running around with the 5th gen front end conversion, and they look really good.To bad Ma Mopar never built a RCSB 5th gen,and stuffed a Hellcat 6.2 in it ,they put the 6.2 in a Durango, why not a regular cab shortbox truck. The TRX is an okay truck, but i think there's probably a bigger market for a regular cab shortbox truck then the TRXKinda reminds me of the old Dakota R/T!
You know it would be a hit...
You can build something very similiar using a Smyth kit. Mark Smith was the brains behind Factory 5 ,so he's been building kit cars for awhile

I liked the early yellow Superbee truck better, but that one works to,lol.I still like Mr Norms Heritage truck. The SEMA truck they should've put into production:

I miss street trucks. Why does every "performance" truck have to be an off-roader? Most of them are pavement princesses.
I'd have bought a 2wd street oriented Ram with the 392 in a heartbeat. Call it a Daytona, Super Bee, whatever. I'll admit I thought the older Ram Daytonas with the high rise wing were kinda cool.
Local Ford dealer built a couple regular cab shortbox trucks with a blower. They had a wicked looking little 4X4 that was bright Red that they'd also lowered,i had to quit going to their showroom as i'd just about talked myself into buying it,lolBecause they sell and lean into what a truck is already engineered around. I will bet you the Ford Raptor has sold more units than every production 'street performance' truck by every domestic combined.
I'm Gen X, so I grew up with the coolness of things like the Lil' Red Express and 454SS. Cool, but not big sellers. More power, ok, but bigger brakes to match? Better handling? Ah, no. Actually built to perform but goofy like the SSR? Dud.
If you really want a mostly OEM RCSB rocket, though, Ford will hook you up. F-150 XL can be ordered with a regular cab and 6.5' bed, stock motor is the 5.0, MSRP just under $40k. Add OEM supercharger kit here: https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-6066-F150SCA
700 hp at 6,500 RPM and 590 lb.-ft. of torque at 5,000 RPM.
Still can't turn, stop, or hook without further modification but it's a power beast. Nearly triple the hp of the 454SS...

It's interior left alot to be desired though
Actually a little lowered shortbox doesn't usually do to bad at turning and stopping.A crewcab longbox truck isn't great at either, but a lowered regular cab shortbox will give alot of cars a run for their money in the mountains.I speak from s'perience , i used to play with the local Challenger/Charger group in the mountains, and i never had any trouble keeping up or passing the majority of stock 5.7 cars with my lowered rcsb in the mountains.True old school muscle car vibe. Lousy interior. Can't turn. Can't stop. Needs work to keep the power down. Probably kill you.
But it's faaaast.![]()

Most owners aren't chasing a stolen Camaro with a loaded up/heavier then average long box cop truck that's still on stock tires, lol In your case i could see where the stock brakes and tires are a bit of a hindrance, but usually anybody throwing a super charger on a vehicle also upgrade the stock tires, and quite often the brake padsSure, depends on what you compare it to and the odds of pushing the vehicle to the limits isn't a concern for most drivers. But no truck is going to be as nimble as an actual sports car (which the Challenger/Charger isn't, also more classic muscle car).
Stopping distances don't matter until they do. 700hp and factory F-150 brakes and tires....![]()
