For that copper wire to turn black like that it has been getting wet for a while. One time isn`t going to do it. I had a issue with the trailer brakes on a car trailer and traced it to the wire inside the axle. The wires were the same way completely black instead of copper. I would run a hose over and around the door and look for a leak.

A blackened wire usually means it was burnt by a short or somthing. Doesn’t water turn wires green?

Generally the green oxidation turns to black oxide when heated. Burnt wires are another story.

Crazy thing is the white plug that was scortched had 5 wires. Only the geound wire was black instead of copper colored. The other 4 wires were the shiny copper color.
Im still going to run a hose around the window to see if I can find a leak. Only one of the 4 plugs on the door module was scortched and melted. Thats why im thinking lack of dialetrical grease.

The reason I'm asking is at around 8k on my truck I found water in both front doors replacing speakers. I had the dealership replace the the door seal but I've had water in there since so I'm thinking there's a design issue and water isn't shed away from the truck like it's supposed to be? Just my thoughts.

Unless you've left the windows down during a heavy rain, I would suspect that the water drains at the bottom of the door(s) are clogged. Do you park the vehicle under a pine tree or some other type that drops things? That could explain clogged door drains.

Best regards,
Dusty

No i park my truck out in the open. Door module is about half way up the door, so even if they were clogged, water would have to rise pretty high. I have heard of guys having tint done and that shorted out their door module. I added dialetrical grease with the new harness and module, so hopefuly it doesnt happen again. We have had a lot of rain lately, and i havent noticed any wet spots in my truck.
