just got my truck a few weeks ago. it has the navigation and radio built in. on a 2008 ram 1500 laramie.

for anyone who has the built in navigation... is it worth the money?

my truck has the 07 disc.. so its pretty outdated... its $149 to update the disc..

for those that have it do u prefer it compared to window mounted gps? any benefits besides it being built in?

The main benefit is that it is built in. Does not obscure any part of the window, and can be easily updated with a disc. As far as the window mounted ones go you would need to get the updates with a computer and either connect your gps to the computer, or use a sd card to get the updates to the unit. SO pretty much stick with the indash unit and break out the greenbacks to get the update.
