I'm getting ready to add a pair of timber grove air bags to my 2020 ram. I occasionally tow a travel trailer. I suspect it could be possible that I may have to deflate to bags to un-hook. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to use to re-inflate once I hook up again. Not wanting to invest in anything expensive to pack along. Will an air pig do the job?

I carry a bicycle tire pump with me as well as a small electric tire inflator.

i have timber groves and run 7 psi unloaded if you dont you will damage the bags. when pulling the trailer it depends on the load i run around 30 psi but you air up to level out then add a few pounds extra to allow for deflections on the road.

If you add that much air AFTER hooking up and setting WD, you’ll move that weight off the front steer axle and will have potential to float. I’m experimenting with new hitch, towing 8700# TH w 1200# TW with Airlifts in rear on a 6.4L and have been setting initial psi at 12-13lbs, then backing down to 10-11psi after all set up to “plant” the front end weight. Need to head to scales. Using ProPride hitch.
