So I got around to installing my Pioneer AVH-2300NEX today. I was upgrading from a 5.0. I used the idatalink maestro RR and CH3 wiring harness. Got it all wired up according to the directions. It all seems to be working fine (aside from my breaking the uRam in the center console). However, now I’ve got a check engine light on all the sudden? Any ideas on what I could’ve done wrong to cause this?

Likely nothing, or a faulty ground. Get the code ran and figure out what the error is.

Same thing happened to me when installing the exact setup. It will clear itself after a few key cycles.

Did you start the truck at any point before reconnecting all of the harnesses in the dash?

What barbosa said. I didn't have my tranny switch plugged in before i turned the key on. I got a check engine light that went away after a few cycles.

You guys are 100% correct. I did switch the key on before reassembling. Light went away in the Petco parking lot yesterday. All seems to be good. Loving the new radio and cuz I’m old school, the CD player.
