Had installed FOX 98450719 (Avalanche 1500) 2.0 ADVENTURE rear shocks ($180 otd). They're for the Avalanche 1500 4x4. So, their a pinch longer at 26.8" extended vs stock are 25.5". When I measure how much the shock could extend before coil moved and my number was 28" and it was moving.
After 3 weeks here is my review. The shocks are soft. I can feel the shock travel if that makes sense. My personal opinion is shocks are either soft and have movement while traveling or their firm and less movement (better for body roll), more harsh on pot holes. Fox in my opinion are soft over pot holes and speed bumps I've encountered.
I've had on this truck. Eibach, ICON, Fox, Bilstein. Fox with my rear coil (1210s) and 3/4" spacer is my Goldielocks. Where the shock is clean, that's 1-7/8" showing. Basically where the shock rides the most I guess? The whole rod showing is 6-5/8". All the descriptions shown online say the shock fully extended is 26.8". I forget to measure that part. As it sits, the shock is 24" extended. I have 2.8" room before its fully extended.
I hope this info helps someone.
