Hi, I've had problems with my factory stereo so I've decided to install a single din Kenwood. I'm also adding an amp and sub. What Im not sure of is where can I get the switched power for the amp. Thanks

I should add that both of my lighter plugs have power with the key off.

Also on the receiver plug there is two wires with 2.5 volts power, what would those be for?

What model is the head unit? There is a possibility it has a remote on it that can trigger your amp to turn. This is not to be confused with amp power, that should be a separate fused line that you would install directly to the battery. A model number should also be able to tell us what those 2 lines are for, though they are probably pre-amp outs.

Also I am referring to the plug on the truck it's the two wires on the plug beside the battery wire.

I just thought of something, I should check the lighter plug again because I think it had power because of the delay after the key is turned off like the radio.?

What Baum said. I looked up your HU and downloaded the manual. You do have an amp turn on lead.
